US shares closed lower

US equities fell sharply on Monday as earnings worries and analysts' downgrades continued to weigh on the markets. The Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged 111.47 to10,401.31 while the Nasdaq Composite lost 32.08 at 2,034.25. The broader S&P 500 index shed 13.77 to 1,200.58.
