PLDT's 1H NP up to P1.37bln

First Pacific Co.'s (0142) unit Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. reported that its consolidated net income jumped by 1,022 percent to 1.4bln pesos for the period ended June 2001, compared with a year earlier. First Pacific shares were down 2 percent at HK$1.48 at HKT3:15pm.
