Global Bio-chem, Cargill to set up JV

Global Bio-chem Technology Group Co Ltd (0809) agreed to set up a joint venture in Hong Kong with Cargill Inc by taking a 50 pct stake in the JV. The company will invest in the production and sale of sweeteners and other products from the bio-fermentation of corn and starch in China.
