B shares soar to close Friday midday

The Shanghai B share index shot up to 168.77 to end the morning session at 164.77 points, gaining 4.80 points or 3.00% on turnover of RMB 1.74221 billion. The Shenzhen B share index finished up 4.32 points or 1.58% at 277.64 points on turnover of RMB 662.19 million.
