Value of Manufacturers' Orders-on-hand dropped 8% in June

Statistics from the Census and Statistics Department said the value of manufacturers' orders-on-hand for local production decreased by 8 percent in June 2001 from last year. Comparing June 2001 with June 2000, the electrical products industry saw the biggest drop (-27 percent) in the value of orders-on-hand.
