Over 1000 insurance practitioners to be fired by year end

Councilor of the Legislation Council Chan Chi-Si said some of the insurers may retreat from Hong Kong while others are planning corporate restructuring due to fierce competition within the industry. He pointed out that cutting of the companyˇ¦s scale and merger is the only way out for some loss-making companies, leading over 1000 practitioners to be laid off.
