Hang Seng Bank woos China bank stakes

Hang Seng Bank (0011) vice president Vincent Cheng said the bank is interested in acquiring equity stakes in China-based banks, which would contribute to its long term business development on the mainland. Cheng said the bank is also interested in participating in non-banking financial businesses, such as the securities business, in China.
