HKMA Cuts Discount Base Rate to 5% following Fed's step

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), cuts the base rate charged at its overnight discount window by 25 basis points to 5 percent. Hong Kong's move came after the U.S. Federal Reserve's seventh rate cut this year.
