Goldman cuts forecast on SmarTone's EPS

Goldman Sachs reduced its 2001 earnings per share estimate for SmarTone Telecommunications Holdings Ltd. (0315) by 45 percent to 54 HK cents, saying this year's results are likely to contain a provision of some HK$100 million for local multipoint distribution service (LMDS). It estimated the company's LMDS investment to date at HK$250 million.
