China Southern surged by 3.3%, profit decline ignored

China Southern Airlines Ltd. (1055) bounced as much as 3.3 percent after reporting a net profit fall of 42.1% to RMB201.5 million in the six months to June. The stock was up 2.7 percent to HK$1.87 on a turnover of HK$2.5 million at HKT10:16 AM.
