Hong Kong government expects 2001 GDP up 1-2 pct

The SAR government forecasts 2001 GDP to grow 1-2%, the Hong Kong Economic Times cited an unnamed ranking government official as saying. The official did not give an estimate for the second quarter GDP, due to be released Friday, but said it would show positive growth.
