HK fiscal deficit at HK$34.3bln April-July

The government said expenditure for the period from April to July 2001 amounted to HK$75 billion and revenue was up to HK$40.7 billion, leading to a deficit of HK$34.3 billion. The fiscal reserves stood at HK$396 billion at July 31.
