Wharf plans to spin off, list New T&T

Wharf (Holdings) Ltd (0004) is considering to spin off and list its New T&T telecom unit, according to New T&T chairman and executive officer Ng Tin-hoi. Ng said Wharf wants to use the listing to raise the profile of the New T&T brand. He added that New T&T is expected to be profitable in the second half of this year.
