China Southern Airlines intends for equity investment with EVA Air

Yan Zhiqing, chairman of China Southern Airlines (1055) revealed that the company is hoping to forge closer ties with EVA Airways Corp, possibly via equity investments. China Southern is seeking approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of China to raise the ceiling for foreign investment in a Chinese airline from the current 35 pct.
