China sees CITIC Pacific as Hong Kong entity to act on cable TV investment

China plans to tackle the problem of irregular and unauthorised foreign involvement in its closed cable-TV market and described CITIC Pacific Ltd as a Hong Kong entity and therefore among those which would have to be dealt with. CITIC Pacific (0267) acquired a 34.9 pct stake in cable TV network CITIC Guoan Information Industry Co in November.
