Hutchison Whampoa plans to acquire stake in Gaolan port

Hutchison Whampoa (0013) is in talks with the Zhuhai authorities to take a stake in the second phase of the Gaolan port project in Zhuhai. The Zhuhai authorities are planning to spend 150 mln yuan to build a container terminal in the Gaolan port. They have also started preparatory work for the project and are seeking foreign participation.
