China Mobile encumbers HSI to slump 279 points

Dragged by China Mobile (0941), HSI extended its loss in the afternoon session to see the intraday low at 10652.04, its lowest for the last 29 months. All blue-chips suffered loss, industry and commerces as well as properties in particular. The H shares were still chased. HSI closed today at 10664.32, down 278.82 points or by 2.55%. The turnover amounted to $6.375 billion. China Mobile (0941) was off 6.29% to $21.6; Sun Hung Kai Properties (0016) and Henderson Land Development (0012) shed 5.3% and 5.06% to $62.5 and $31.9 respectively.
