Hong Kong government turns down Housing Society's proposal to invest in resident
The SAR government does not support the Hong Kong Housing Society's proposal to invest in residential developments on the mainland, Information Coordinator Stephen Lam said. Lam said that the Housing Society is an organisation that provides public Housing for Hong Kong People. The government does not support any plan for it to engage in real estate development outside Hong Kong. The commments came after the Housing Society said it is planning to invest up to 1 bln hkd in residential projects on the mainland.
