HKex in principle approves Next Media Ltd to acquire several publications owned

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong has in principle approved a proposal by Next Media Ltd (0282) to acquire several publications owned by chairman Jimmy Lai for 2.6 bln hkd.. The listing division of the stock exchange is expected to issue a notice to Next Media in 1-2 days about the results of its review of the acquisition proposal.
