PCCW surges 3.5% on gains in 1H net profit

Pacific Century CyberWorks (0008), Richard Li's Asian communications vehicle, rose as much as 3.5 percent at the open after saying that it returned to the black in the first half. At 10:13 a.m. local time, its shares were up 1.8 percent at HK$1.74 on turnover of HK$10.3 million.
