Five companies bought back their shares in the market yesterday, according to the local exchange. Hysan Development Co. (0014), one of Hong Kong's biggest landlords, repurchased 970,000 shares at between HK$7.55 and HK$7.85 each. Alpha General (Holdings) Ltd. (0073), an air-conditioner and refrigerator distributor, repurchased 6 million shares at 3 HK cents each. Legend Holdings (0992), China's largest computer maker, repurchased 4.008 million shares at between HK$3.30 and HK$3.375 each. Tai Fook Securities Group Ltd. (0665), a local brokerage, repurchased 4,000 shares at HK$1.08 each. Excel Technology International Holdings Ltd. (8048), an Internet applications service provider, repurchased 4.108 million shares at between 60 HK cents and 63 HK cents each.
