14 Chinese export processing zones absorb 155 foreign projects worth US$1.65 bil

14 Chinese state export processing zones have attracted 1.65 bln usd investment of 155 foreign projects, quoted by vice commissioner of the General Administration of Customs. The zones' combined exports are expected to reach 1.5 bln usd this year, the report said. The central government approved the setting up of 17 state export processing zones in April last year and 14 have gone into operation while three others are under construction.
