Leung not ruling out the possible halt/cut in Tracker Fund share sales

Financial Secretary Antony Leung said he does not rule out the possibility that the government will halt the disposal of shares held by the Tracker Fund of Hong Kong, or reduce the amount of shares being sold. Leung said he has discussed this matter with Hong Kong Kong Monetary Authority chief executive Joseph Yam in a telephone conversation, cited by the Hong Kong Economic Journal, He said the HKMA will have to ask the Exchange Fund Investment Co for its opinion about the Tracker Fund share disposal program.
