HSI ends up 51.04 at 10417.36, led by Telecoms

Hong Kong stocks hovered within tight range early this afternoon. The HSI upturned later upon the extended gains of China Mobile (0941) and China Unicom (0762) and narrowed loss in HSBC (0005). The blue-chips were seen mixed. H shares were chased. The telecommunications jumped across the board. HSI closed at 10417.36, up 51.04 points or by 0.49%. The turnover amounted to $4.876 billion only.
