U.S. Dollar claws back losses after devastating attacks on WTC, Pentagon

U.S. dollar clawed back some ground in thin early Tokyo trade on Wednesday, limping away from troughs it hit after devastating aircraft attacks that flattened the World Trade Center and charred the Pentagon. The dollar bounced back nearly one percent to above 119.50 yen from troughs of around 118.50 late on Tuesday. The euro also pulled back from its early peak against the dollar of 91.70 US cents towards 90.75 US cents. Against the yen, it was steady at around 109 yen.
