B shares drop sharply on Wednesday

China's B-share markets tumbled more than four per cent in heavy trade on Wednesday following the terror attacks on the United States. All the B shares fell except Shenzhen Petrochemical (SZSE: 2013) that rose 2.76 per cent. . Shanghai B-share index slumped 7.01 points or 4.16 per cent to close at 161.22 points. Turnover vaulted to a stunning RMB 1.72 billion. Shenzhen B-share index plunged 12.20 points or 4.26 per cent to end at 273.97 points. Turnover swelled to RMB 806.49 million.
