HSI finishes down 924 points at 9493.62

The Hang Seng Index fell to a 31-month low of 9170.24 in the afternoon session today. The index upturned later by over 300 points as European indices regained; it then closed at 9493.62, down 923.74 points or by 8.87%. The turnover amounted to $12.17 billion. The market values of Hong Kong listed companies have lost by $312 billion in one single day.
