Hong Kong shares sharply lower in early trade

Hong Kong share prices suffered steep declines in early morning trade following Friday's falls in European equity markets coupled with drops on the Tokyo market this morning. The selloff was mainly sparked by worries about what will happen to Wall after days of suspension after Tuesday's terrorist attacks on the US, dealers said.
