Shanghai B shares sharply lower

Shanghai B-share prices were sharply lower in late morning trade on concern about the government's ongoing crackdown on market irregularities and the repercussions from last week's terrorist attacks in the US, dealers said. At 11.02 am, the Shanghai B-share index was down 8.75 points at 143.74.
