HSI hits 31-mth closing low at 9319

Hong Kong stocks extended weak porformance in the afternoon session today with the HSI hovered between 9300 and 9400. HSI closed at 9319.35, down 336.1 points or by 3.48%, which is the record closing low for the last 31 months since mid-February of 1999. The turnover today amounted to $6.371 billion.
