Nikkei-225 ends up 1.9% at 9680

Nikkei-225 gained in the morning session today by 300 points to the 9800 level. In the afternoon, Japanese stocks extended the gains early in the session but plunged again in the ten minutes just before the close of the market. The index closed today at 9679.88, up 175.47 points or by 1.85%.
