U.S. stocks down on Tuesday

U.S. stocks fell for a second day after resumption of trading. The Dow, Nasdaq and S&P 500 all hit new 52-week closing lows. The Dow slipped 17.30, or 0.19%, to 8903.40. The Nasdaq lost 24.47, or 1.55%, to 1555.08. The S&P 500 gave up 6.03, or 0.58%, to 1032.74.
