HKMA has no evidence of bin Laden's deposits held in HK

HKMA issued a circular to all authorized institutions with reference to the speculation that Osama bin Laden and his associates may maintain bank deposits in Hong Kong as well as in other financial centres. HKMA said it has no information or evidence that deposits related to bin Laden are held here. It urged the banks to carefully monitor the accounts to make sure no accounts are related to bin Laden.
