Asian ADRs close flat

Asian ADRs close flat Prices of Asian American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) closed flat as investors sought to diversify into international equities out of US stocks on negative US corporate, economic, and political news. The Bank of New York's Asian ADR index closed flat at 77.33 points. The Bank of New York Index of leading ADRs fell 0.70 points or 0.79 percent to 87.57 points. Among US equities, the Nasdaq composite lost 27.28 points or 1.75 percent to close at 1,527.80 points, while the DJIA lost 144.27 points or 1.62 percent to 8,759.13 points. Asian Telecom ADRs performed well on bargain hunting and optimism for the sector.
