Star Cruises buys ferry for China short distance cruise market

Star Cruises Ltd. (0678) announced that it had bought the Wasa Queen ferry to start a short-distance passenger-ferry cruise service in China. "The acquisition of Wasa Queen is in line with Star Cruises expansion strategy in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as China's entry into the World Trade Organization in the near future," the company said in a statement.
