Shanghai B shares close down on A share decline Thursday

B-share prices closed lower, in line with the A-share declines. B-share turnover remained thin amid uncertainty over the outlook for the global economy and concerns that further A-share declines could also pull B-share prices lower. The composite A- and B-share index closed 4.27 points or 0.23 pct lower at 1,818.41 on turnover of 6.27 bln yuan after trading to a high of 1,836.77 and a low of 1,814.45. The B-share index closed 2.33 points or 1.52 pct lower at 150.65 after trading between 154.57 and 150.04.
