MTRC postpones syndicated loan deal as underwriter withdraw

Sources said MTR Corporation (0066) is delaying a HKD3-5 billion syndicated loan deal after some underwriters have withdrawn from it since they were unsatisfied with MTRC's attempt to cut the interest rate levels. It was said that MTRC was organizing the loan in 5-year tranches and other 7-year tranche and had planned to finish the deal by the end of this week.
