Shanghai B shares close lower

Saturday's domestic US dollar deposits interest rate cut failed to boost B shares as sentiment remains weak amid fears of a pending global economic slowdown especially as the upgrade of US¡¦s millitary moves against Afghanistan. The B-share index closed 0.51 points or 0.34 percent lower at 146.38 after fluctuating between 148.03 and 145.73.
