Banking sector outperforms the market

Hong Kong banking sectors outperform the market by rising 1 percent as a whole. At 3:25 p.m. local time, the HSI was down 0.87 percent at 9,203.82. HSBC Holdings (0005) rose 1.1 percent to HKD72. Dah Sing Financial (0440), surged 6.9 percent to HKD34. Bank of East Asia Ltd. (0023) was 1 percent higher at HKD14.65. Hang Seng Bank (0011) was up 0.7 percent at HKD75.25.
