Hong Kong shares advanced on Wall Street gains

Share prices turned higher on gains in Wall Street last night, following the US Federal Reserve's decision to cut interest rates by 50 basis points, dealers said. At 10.51 am, the Hang Seng Index was up 101.71 points at 10,052.41 on turnover of HKD2.22 billion. The Hang Seng October contract last traded at 10,042 points. TraHK was up 0.10 at 10.20. The GEM index was up 0.57 at 168.32 on turnover of HKD12.66 million.
