Hongkong Chinese Bank cuts hkd savings rate to 0.50%

The Hongkong Chinese Bank Ltd. said it has cut its interest rate on Hong Kong dollar savings accounts to 0.50 percent from 1.125 pct and its prime rate to 5.5 percent from 6.0 percent effective today.
