CNOOC and CPC to cooperate in exploring oil and gas in Taiwan Strait

It is reported that China National Offshore Oil Corporation, parent of Hong Kong listed CNOOC Ltd. (0883), and Taiwan's Chinese Petroleum Corporation will jointly explore for oil and natural gas in the Taiwan Strait. CPC president Pan Wen-yen would fly to the mainland next week to sign a letter of intent with CNOOC for the cooperation.
