HSBC cuts best lending rate to 5.50%

The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corp Ltd said in a statement that it will lower its best lending rate by 50 basis points to 5. 50 percent and its Hong Kong dollar savings deposits rate to 0.50 percent with effect from tomorrow.
