.US initial jobless claims last week hit 9-year high
US Labor Department disclosed that first-time claims for unemployment insurance benefits rose by 71,000 to 528,000 in the week ended September 29, far more than expected of 468,000, it was also the highest since the week ended July 25, 1992.
