China Rare Earth (0769) receiving orders for '03

Jiang Quanlong, Chairman of China Rare Earth Holdings Limited (0769), said during a recent roadshow that although the company was slightly affected by the recent eased global rare-earth business, only two products of the company for use in information technology industry needed to have their prices lowered and all those of the remaining 13 products remained unchanged. He explained that it was because most of the contracts were on long-term agreement and no clients requested for cancellation of contracts. The company is receiving rare-earth oxide orders for 2003.
