Hang Lung Dev and Amoy Properties expect not much from Policy Address

Ronnie Chan, Chairman of Hang Lung Development Company Limited (0010) and Amoy Properties Limited (0101), said that he was not much disappointed by the Policy Address for he had not expected very much from it before it was released. He said that the Government has done what are necessary before the Policy Address. He thinks that raising the tax-deduction ceiling for housing loan interest cannot be a major help to the property market, although it can alleviate burdens of citizens. He also said that he was not actually for helping the negative asset owners, but he appreciated requests by different bodies to help the property owners.
