SEHK publicly criticizes Hengan (1044) & directors

The SEHK publicly criticises Hengan International (1044) and all of the executive directors of the company, breach of the Exchange Listing Rules and the Director's Undertaking. At a disciplinary hearing held on 28th August 2001, the Listing Committee of the Exchange conducted a hearing into the conduct of, among others, the Company and the relevant directors, in respect of certain connected transactions as disclosed in the Company's announcement dated 22nd March 2000. The Listing Committee has concluded, among other things, the Company breached Rules the Exchange Listing Rules; and the Relevant Directors breached their Director's Undertaking. Accordingly, the Listing Committee hereby publicly criticises the Company and each of the Relevant Directors.
