Container Terminal 8 throughput down 12.67% in September

According to data announced by COSCO Pacific Limited (1199), Kwai Chung Container Terminal 8, which is owned as to 50% each by COSCO Pacific and Hutchison Whampoa Limited (0013), handled 118,600 TEUs in September, down 12.67% from the previous corresponding period. In the first three quarters this year, the container terminal handled a total of 973,100 TEUs, which was 7.72% less from the previous corresponding period. In the third quarter alone, the throughput was 358,900 TEUs, down 11.6%.
