China Mobile has no placement plans

China Mobile (Hong Kong) Ltd (0914) said it has currently no plans for a share placement and is unaware of market rumours saying that the company carried out a placement last week. There has been speculation that the Janus fund placed China Mobile's ADRs at about 24.20 hkd last week or that there was a placement through Goldman Sachs, which triggered the selling pressure on the ADRs on Friday.
